The above are destinations for most transfers, though depending on capacity or the presence of a medical home elsewhere, an alternative destination might be preferred. Please initiate the transfer in coordination with the charge nurse. Only patients meeting emergent criteria should be transferred via the 911 retriage system. Appropriate signout and transfer of necessary records should accompany all transfers. Transfer prior to signout should only occur for 911 retraige patients and even then, it is expected that signout happen as soon as feasible.
